Buchanan County Commonwealth's Attorney
Tamara
C. Neo Elected in 2007, Tamara is currently serving a 4-year
term of office in Grundy.
She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, with extensive qualifications in
legal research and public administration.

Virginia These dedicated attorneys make the prosecution work of the
Commonwealth's Attorney possible by bringing their education and experience to bear
on a variety of legal issues.
Nicholas
Compton - Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney. Nicholas Compton or Nick,
as every one knows him, is a 1989 graduate of Council High School, .Va. Wise in
'93 and Appalachian School of Law, charter class. He proudly states that he received
his entire education in southwest Virginia. He has been practicing law since 2001
and is admitted in Virginia, the Untied States District Court for the Western District
of Virginia, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States
Supreme Court. Additionally, he has several published appellate decisions in the
Virginia appellate courts. On more than one occasion, Nick has stated that he is
a well-educated country boy. He loves to hunt and fish, as well as hunt dry land
fish and other wild herbs and berries. More importantly, he enjoys spending time
with his wife and two sons.
John T. Dusewicz -
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.
John Dusewicz is of a good and proud stock, hailing from the great Gloucester, Virginia. He is the
second son of a second son; and proudly follows the latter into the legal profession. He studied
History at the University of Delaware, graduating in 2005. In 2008 he received his law degree from the
Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of law. Following law school, he briefly worked in the fields of
complex civil litigation and environmental law arbitration, but the call of public service was too great.
He loves Buchanan County and the practice of criminal law. He is passionate about food, cinema, and
recreational shooting.
Michael
Henzey - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.
Michael, a native of northeastern
Ohio, has been a Virginia resident for over a decade. Michael graduated in May 2009
with his law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of
Law located in Washington, DC. Following his admission to the Virginia State Bar,
Michael earned his Master of Laws degree in criminal law, with honors, from the
State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was an associate on the Buffalo
Public Interest Law Journal. He wrote his master's thesis on legal methods to disrupt
cybercrime. Additionally, Michael holds his Bachelors of Arts in History from George
Mason University. In his free time, Michael enjoys watching football and basketball,
studying architecture, and playing with his cat, Bailey.
Robin
Martin - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.
Robin was born and raised
in Glen Allen, Virginia. She moved to Lynchburg, VA in 2006 to attend law school
at Liberty University School of Law. She became a member of the Virginia Bar in
July 2009, and joined the Buchanan County Commonwealth Attorney's Office in December
2009. In her spare time, Robin enjoys reading novels, cooking and running outdoors.
J. Christopher Plaster - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. Chris was born
in Richlands, Virginia, where his family is originally from. He graduated from Richlands
High School in 1991, and attend SVCC for two years. He went on to graduate from
Radford University with a BS in Political Science in 1996. Chris went to law school
at the University of Alabama and received his JD in 2001. He has been in private
practice in Richlands since then where he focuses on domestic issues, real property,
and real estate closings. Chris is married with two children.
